STONEY’S PUB RAISES $5,300 FOR DELAWARE HOSPICE

Rachel Brown, Emilie Brown, Mike Stone and Deb Kelley, Stoney’s Pub in Wilmington, organize fundraising activities each year during their anniversary month to benefit Delaware Hospice.

For the 6th year, Stoney’s British Pub in Wilmington has celebrated the anniversary of its opening with a month of fundraising events to benefit Delaware Hospice in honor of a loved one who received hospice services.

This year’s events included “The Man in Black” returning for a solo performance of Johnny Cash tunes; single malt whiskey tasting; Guy Fawkes night (with Guy Fawkes having a canny resemblance to Terrell Owens); an evening of Blues; an All Star Comedy show; “God on Tap” hosted by Rev. Roy Tripp; the 2nd annual auction of local goods and services; Bluegrass music from Chapel St. Junction; and the Feast of St. Andrew.

Delaware Hospice gratefully acknowledges the contribution of $5,300 raised by these benefit activities, thanks to the generosity of Mike Stone and the organizational efforts of co-workers Emilie Brown and Deb Kelley.  These funds will support Delaware Hospice’s efforts in continuing to provide its trademark quality care and special programs to patients and families throughout the state of Delaware.
