DELAWARE HOSPICE NAMED A SUPERSTAR IN BUSINESS BY THE DELAWARE STATE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Wilmington, Del.,— November 21, 2004. Delaware Hospice has been
honored with a Superstar in Business award by the Delaware State Chamber
of Commerce. Susan D. Lloyd, President and CEO, accepted the award at
a ceremony held at the Hotel du Pont on November 10. “We are so
honored and grateful to receive special recognition from the community
we serve.” said Lloyd.
Each year, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce honors businesses and
non-profit corporations for their outstanding accomplishments and model
approaches to business and management.
The Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business Awards, named for one of Delaware’s
leading small business entrepreneurs, are presented to companies that
have been established for at least three years, have no more than 150
employees, and are members of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce.
Winners are chosen in categories based on the number of employees per
company. An award is also given each year to an outstanding non-profit
corporation. Quality is the common thread that ties together the 2004
winners.
As the leading provider of hospice care throughout the state, Delaware
Hospice involves a team-oriented approach to quality medical care, pain
