A Champagne Shearing to benefit Delaware Hospice
A unique fundraiser was held last Saturday afternoon when Necia Beck invited guests to pay $5 to sip champagne and watch her head-shaving.
Necia had her locks shorn for her upcoming role as a cancer patient in the Kent County Theatre Guild’s production of Wit, the Pulitzer Prize-wining play by Margaret Edson.
To make the experience enjoyable, she decided to invite guests to Lords & Ladies salon for the occasion and to raise money to benefit Delaware Hospice.
Performances of Wit open on April 27th and will run for three weekends. Call 674-3568 to make reservations.
