Delaware Hospice offers Courtland Manor residents and afternoon of golden oldies.
The residents of Courtland Manor were clapping hands, tapping feet, and rocking in their chairs to the big band tunes of Three Hits and a Miss last Wednesday afternoon.
Delaware Hospice sponsored the afternoon’s entertainment as a community outreach activity.
Bob Polese, drummer for 3 Hits and a Miss, said, “We’re semi-retired, but we just can’t quit playing. It’s the most rewarding thing when people like Courtland Manor’s residents, remember this music and are so appreciative. Of course, they don’t want to commit themselves when we arrive, but after awhile, you see the feet tapping and hands clapping.”
One resident exclaimed, “They were the best who’ve ever played for us!”
Courtland Manor in Dover regards each resident as a member of their family and strives to provide the best possible care and peace of mind for all residents and their families.
