Delaware Hospice’s Casino Night raises over $11,000 to support its programs
Delaware Hospice’s Casino Night at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center drew a record crowd this year and raised more than $11,000 for the state’s only nonprofit hospice organization in a remarkable community-based fundraising effort.
Guests played Black Jack, Roulette, and Texas Hold’Em with local celebrity dealers, Mayor Sam Cooper, Becky Carney, Cheryl Jankowski, Bob Dixon, Claire Walsh, Sharon Palmer, George Parish, Dale Thaxton, and Barbara Brittingham, while enjoying refreshments catered by LHR Seafood and Catering, wine tasting compliments of Kemp’s Liquors, beer by Banks Wine and Spirits, soft drinks donated by Pepsi, and water by PepUp Inc.
Casino Night’s organizing committee gathered an amazing collection of wonderful gifts for the silent auction from 70 contributing businesses.
