Laura C. Robelen has joined Delaware Hospice’s Board of Trustees as a new member.

Laura works for the Levy Wilson team at Prudential Fox & Roach Realtors’ Greenville office.  She has been a licensed Realtor since 1988 and a licensed Broker since 1999.  She is an instructor for the New Castle County Board of Realtors, teaching pre-licensing classes.

Laura has been actively volunteering for Delaware Hospice in leadership roles since 1997, co-chairing Festival of Trees’ committees, chairing the Barbara Santoro Jazz Brunch’s silent auction committee, and serving on the Development Committee.  In 2007, Laura Robelen won the national Prudential Cares volunteer grant in recognition of her volunteer service, and Delaware Hospice was awarded a $1,000 grant by the Prudential Financial Corporation.

She remarked, “Through my ten years of involvement with Delaware Hospice, I have learned just how valuable the organization is and how special the Delaware Hospice people are. The caring and compassion that everyone there possesses are unparalleled. I have heard from so many families who have used Delaware Hospice’s services such glowing commendations about the love and support shown them at their most difficult times.  At the Festival of Trees last year, one of the Cokesbury residents, who had a close friend in the program, told me that ‘when Delaware Hospice came, it was like angels walked in the room!’

“I have had some close friends in the program and have been so grateful to Delaware Hospice for the comfort given to their families. We are all bombarded by various charities asking for our time and money – I have made a personal decision to limit my involvement, therefore concentrating my efforts, to a select few – Delaware Hospice being at the top of the list!  I look forward to a deeper involvement with the organization and a continuing relationship with the great people at Delaware Hospice.”
