Delaware Hospice Receives a Check from Aetna Inc.’s Dover Office

Mary Sodl (right), Manager of Aetna Inc.’s Dover office presents a check to John Ward, Board of Trustees Member and Susan Lloyd, President and C.E.O. of Delaware Hospice, in support of the Delaware Hospice Center’s Capital Campaign
Delaware Hospice received a $525 contribution from Aetna’s Dover office in support of its “Community Campaign to Expand Delaware Hospice.” This capital campaign was established to fund the construction of the Delaware Hospice Center, which will provide a new option of hospice care throughout the state of Delaware.
“Delaware Hospice has a reputation for providing excellent care and great compassion,” said Mary Sodl, office manager. “We conduct several fundraisers throughout the year and chose Delaware Hospice as one of the organizations to donate to in appreciation for what they do in the community.”
The Delaware Hospice Center will become a home away from home for patients in need of brief stays for symptom management. Professional care will be available 24 hours a day, giving caregivers needed support and quality time with their loved ones. They will find privacy, comfort, and comprehensive services in the 16 family suites, with a family, kitchen and dining areas, a children’s playroom, and a central gathering place. The Center will also house a Community Resource Center, a Family Support Center, as well as home care and administrative offices.
